Motorola Receives High Score in Broadband Gear Report (BGR) Diamond Technology Review
Motorola EDGETM Service Assurance Software Suite scores a four as other Motorola Medios and a new Surfboard Gateway also secure top rankings
The Motorola EDGETM Service Assurance Software Suite (formerly NBBS) received a high score in this year’s BGR Diamond Technology Reviews– receiving a stellar four out of five diamonds from a panel of top cable industry multi-service operator (MSO) engineering experts.
A complementary product to the Motorola Medios Multiscreen Video Service Management Software Suite, EDGETM provides a single platform for the management of the entire home network, including monitoring capabilities for deployed Motorola and third-party devices across a range of management protocols supporting management of modems/gateways, video set-tops, mobile devices and other manageable home networking equipment. EDGETM seamlessly integrates into existing legacy provisioning and support systems, enabling service providers to expand broadband service revenues, while reducing operational and support costs, and is scalable to cost-effectively grow from thousands to tens of millions subscribers under management.
Two other Motorola Medios products received BGR recognition with 3.5 out of 5 Diamonds:
· Motorola Medios VideoFlow (formerly CCE EAMS-CCE-Enhanced Asset Management System) addresses the challenges of managing the infinite on-demand library by helping service providers grow their video, music, games and enhanced TV application catalogs using existing resources. This is done through the automation of critical workflows including asset ingestion, validation, transcoding, QA and publication, while also supporting multiple asset types and formats for delivery of next-generation on-demand content to multiple screens and devices.
· Motorola Medios Merchandiser (formerly Storefront) evolves service providers’ multi-screen marketing capabilities and offer management. It features an intelligent recommendation engine that leverages user preferences and prior transaction history to enhance the subscriber browsing experience and encourage impulse purchases with targeted offers, while also enabling pricing flexibility for the service provider supporting options such as one-time discounting, package bundling, time-based discounting and more.
Rounding out the Motorola 2010 honoree list was the Motorola SBG6580 SURFboard® eXtreme Wireless Cable Modem Gateway, which delivers ultra broadband high-speed data, high-bandwidth home networking and security in one device. The Motorola SBG6580 received 3 out of 5 Diamonds.
