Dale Stone leads Government Relations initiatives for Motorola Mobility.

Previously, he served as senior vice president, Strategic Planning and Portfolio Management, Mobile Devices, and led integration activities following the combination of the Home and Mobile Devices businesses. He also served on the leadership team for Project Separation, the multi-year initiative that resulted in the January 2011 spin-off of Motorola Mobility as an independent, publicly traded company.

He joined Motorola as senior advisor in the office of the Co-CEO in August 2008.

Prior to his work at Motorola, Stone served as general manager of Qualcomm’s Cellular Infrastructure division. Previously, he was senior vice president of Market Operations of Ericsson CDMA Systems. He also has headed product development and systems engineering organizations for both hardware products and consumer services and supported merger and acquisitions activities at AT&T. Stone has been involved in the cellular industry since 1988 when he became head of systems engineering for AT&T’s Cellular Infrastructure business unit.

In addition to his work with major corporations, Stone also has served in senior roles with two start-up companies as president, chief operating officer (COO) and a member of the board of directors of US Wireless, and as COO of Magnolia Broadband.

He is a fellow of both Bell Labs and AT&T Labs, and holds several patents.

Stone earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a master’s in electrical engineering from Stanford University, and completed The Executive Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
