Iqbal Arshad leads the Global Product Development team chartered to design, develop and deliver iconic mobile products and experiences by infusing the best of technology and design. Global Product Development is responsible for end-to-end product execution, developing hardware component technologies, system design and development, software integration and product testing.

Previously, he served as corporate vice president for the Converged Computing Product Development team, which focused on delivering Motorola’s next generation breakthrough products, including the highly acclaimed family of DROID by Motorola products, MOTOROLA ATRIX^™, and MOTOROLA XOOM^™.

Prior to that, Arshad was vice president of Motorola’s European product development and management organization. During his tenure at Motorola, Arshad has led development and delivery of many award-winning mobile devices and mobile network products to worldwide customers. In addition, he has held product management and development leadership positions with 3Com and Watercove Networks.

Arshad holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Miami and a master’s degree in engineering management from Northwestern University.
