Iqbal Arshad leads one of the most innovative engineering teams in the mobile industry - chartered to design, develop and deliver iconic mobile products and experiences by infusing the best of technology and design. Global Product Development is responsible for developing leading-edge mobile device component technologies, system design, product design, integration and testing.

Under Iqbal’s leadership, Global Product Development successfully delivered market-leading products including DROID RAZR™, Motorola RAZR, DROID BIONIC, Motorola XYBOARD™, Motorola ATRIX™, and iDEN Push-to-Talk product lines.

Previously, he served as corporate vice president for the Converged Computing Product Development team, which focused on developing Motorola’s next generation breakthrough products and technologies, including the highly-acclaimed family of DROID by Motorola products, Motorola XOOM™ and the delivery of Motorola’s 4G LTE chipset. Prior to that, Iqbal was vice president of Motorola’s European product development and management organization.

During his tenure at Motorola, Iqbal has led development and delivery of many award-winning mobile devices and mobile network products to worldwide customers. In addition, he has held product management and development leadership positions with 3Com and WaterCove Networks.

Iqbal holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Miami and a master’s degree in engineering management from Northwestern University.
