Mahesh Veerina leads Mobile Devices product engineering teams responsible for delivering rich experiences to customers through development of compelling software application and platform roadmaps.
He previously served as corporate vice president, Advanced Platforms for Motorola Mobility. Veerina is a seasoned Silicon Valley entrepreneur and technology executive with more than 20 years of industry experience. Most recently, he was the founder and CEO of Azingo, Inc., which was acquired by Motorola in April 2010. Azingo, founded in 2005 and funded by private equity capital, was a pioneer and leader in developing a Linux-based mobile operating system and applications. While at Azingo he served on the board of Linux Mobile Consortium (LiMo).
Prior to Azingo, Veerina was vice president at Nokia Internet Communications after Nokia’s 2001 acquisition of Ramp Networks, Inc., where he was founder, president and CEO. Veerina was also founder and CEO of FlowWise Networks, Inc., a pioneer in ATM-IP switching devices acquired by Network Equipment Technologies. Veerina served in various engineering roles at Synoptics and Amdahl Corp. early in his career. He also co-founded, advised and served on the boards of a number of venture-backed technology startups in Silicon Valley.
Veerina has a master’s degree in computer engineering from Purdue University. He also holds a master of science and technology degree in electronics from Andhra University in India.
