Motorola Mobility and Nextel Argentina Introduce Motorola i867, the Newest Android™-powered Push-To-Talk Smartphone for iDEN

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – Sept. 6, 2012 – Motorola Mobility of Argentina S.A and Nextel Argentina announce the launch of the new Motorola i867, a dynamic and attractive smartphone that allows broader and simpler communications. With Nextel Radio service, the flexibility of Android™ and access to social networks, the Motorola i867 provides unlimited possibilities for you to communicate securely and instantly.

With the Motorola i867 you have the ability to see your mails via Nextel Email application, to connect to your social networks like Facebook and Twitter, and to be in constant communication with anyone via WhatsApp, Google Talk and other messaging services. Motorola i867 also offers a 3-megapixels camera, 3.1" touchscreen, Wi-Fi and multimedia features, which makes the new smartphone one of the simplest and most complete in terms of functionality.

Motorola i867 features Nextel i-alarm service, a tool developed to protect and help the user at all times when in an emergency situation but not able to communicate by radio or telephone. It works with the simple push of the Nextel radio speaker button for four seconds, with which preconfigured text are sent discreetly via text or email.

Motorola i867 joins the Motorola i1, the Motorola Titanium and Motorola i940 in Nextel's portfolio of smartphones.

Availability and price

Motorola i867 will be available through all Nextel distributional channels Nextel since September 6th 2012, at a retail value of $1,399 (local currency, VAT included).
